HBRE and IPC E&C sign EPC contract for the construction of HBRE Ha Tinh 120 MW Wind Farm
On April 23, 2025, HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Joint Stock Company and IPC Construction Corporation Joint Stock Company (IPC E&C) officially signed the EPC contract for the construction of the HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Farm. This is a Group A project, classified as a Category I energy facility, with a total capacity of 120 MW, comprising 19 wind turbines, each with a capacity of 6.25-6.5 MW. The investor is HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Joint Stock Company.
The project is located in the southern part of Ky Anh District, stretching along the mountain foothills from Deo Ngang to Ky Anh Town, Ha Tinh Province. The grid connection will be implemented via a 110 kV transmission line, linking to the Ky Anh – Vung Ang 110 kV power grid.
With a total investment of approximately VND 4,286 billion (USD ~172 million), the project is funded by the investor’s equity and a loan from BIDV Bank (Head Office Branch 1). Currently, all legal procedures for the project development phase have been completed.
At the HBRE Ha Tinh Wind Power Plant project, IPC E&C will undertake surveying, design, material supply (including wind turbines), construction, installation, testing, commissioning, and the necessary procedures to achieve Commercial Operation Date (COD) for the project.
The project is currently in the preparation phase for technical design appraisal, construction permit application, and other required procedures to commence construction. All parties are making every effort to bring the plant into operation by Q2 2026, contributing additional renewable energy to the nation in this era of transformative growth.
This project contributes to raising IPC E&C’s total constructed wind power capacity as an EPC contractor in Vietnam to over 1,000 MW. Beyond domestic markets, IPC has expanded internationally, serving as the EPC contractor for 300 MW of wind power in Laos and installing over 500 MW of wind turbines in the Philippines. This solidifies IPC’s position as Vietnam’s leading EPC contractor in renewable energy.
